a pinning success!

so i purged the office.  yeah, i already posted about that... but you know what?  i knew i could do better.  1 donation box, 1 trash box.   i KNOW i have more. so, i present to you 'the office, part II'!! Extra weird keys, 3 big empty boxes for things bought in the 90s, empty binders, brand new packs of dividers, note cards, paper, etc, etc. Just when you think you're done, you're probably not. I took another look and found so much more junk. And this is just the office section of the January decluttering. It's crazy! But here's the proof. Moving onto the bathroom section now of the purge....

So Target has a monthly beauty box.  And this was the best discovery I've ever made. $7 / month. The 1st of every month I get on the site and order 2 - 1 for me, 1 for my sister. We actually meet up special every month just so I can give it to her. And the best months are the ones when there's 2 boxes. June and December had men boxes, there was a baby box and January 2018 had 2 boxes as well. Check this out... A stay cation box & a jetsetter box?? Yes, please!  And forgive the poor photo quality as I didn't initially intend to blog this. But I want everyone to know about this magic... so since its a new year, i decided to start a new challenge.   so naturally, i hit up pinterest.  and now, i can blog about it!!  however, i didnt use a challenge i found on pinterest...  i used one i found a long time ago...  a screenshot that ive been holding onto until that day i actually do it... so my sis & i decided to start with a small 7 day ab challenge.  it was very easy except that i did forget to do it. from 1/2 - 1/16, i finally got my challenge done.   14 days to do a 7 day challenge. ive decided to run through it again in the next 7 days. it was easy but i did feel like i was doing something.  if i kept up with day #7 on a regular basis, it may do something for me. but this one was fun.  and it was simple so my sister & i were both able to actually do it and keep each other accountable.  although we did both take 2 weeks to do it!   it was easier to do the challenge with someone to ...

so i broke down my January purge lists into manageable tasks.  i do this at work with my long lists of work tickets and it helps me to get things done faster. so i chose a section on both lists.  the office. these are basically the same list of items so it was easy. after pics, you say?? the donation box - these are supplies that can maybe even be given towards school supply drives in the fall.  but a lot of stuff ive had since the 90s and some I've never used... aaaaaand.... the trash box you can't tell how deep the box is, but its full of address labels and pens and crap.  The pile of paper in front of it is a pretty big stack itself. january purge is slow going, but its going.   this is just one corner of stuff - the office.  and im 2 boxes down already...

so, while youre organizing & decluttering & reading blogs, or while you were waiting for me to do something spectacular, i went and did something spectacular.  i put an actual list of resolutions together that are actually attainable.  and i will post at the end of 2018 with stats of pass/fail. 1  - no more babysitting/taking care of inebriated yet capable adults:  i miss a lot of fun things worrying about others at festivals, parties and nights out.  i dont want to worry or miss anything anymore.  2 - reduce my use of plastic:  my company has logo-ed water bottles.  they are for clients, etc but i go through them daily.  and i dont even drink the whole thing.  like ever.  its just another bottle that goes straight to recycling.  if im lucky.  some days it goes in the trash for convenience purposes.  but i have a cup.  its a star wars cup.  and its lovely and its mine and its holds water jus...

everyone does it, resolutions, organizing, a new you, etc.  and then people like me blog about how everyone does it. the thing about a blog is that holds you accountable to people.  maybe no one is reading it, but you don't know, so it makes you keep at it.  and since this is the blog of pinterest results, what better way to pick a 1st 'to do' than to pick a january 1st 'to do'.  a new function for a new year.  and something i now will have to do since im putting it on all of the internets & beyond... i was going to select randomly from my 'january' and 'new years' boards.   i've got 2 january purge checklists. take your pic, do them both, i dont really care.  itll be easy for me because there are 'kids rooms' sections on here and i dont have kids.  so that will leave me time to take care of the other sections on the list. so, sit back, relax purge end the clutter that was 2017...
